Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned on Sunday that without an additional 40,000 troops, he does not believe the war in Afghanistan will be won.
Asked on CNN's "State of the Union" if the American military can win the war without the additional 40,000 troops advocated by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, McCain said simply, "I do not."
"I think the great danger now is not an American pullout, it’s a half measure," McCain continued.
The senator added that he does not believe the White House is trying to "muzzle" McChrystal, though he said he was bothered by some of the criticism of the general that has leaked into press reports.
"This whole thing about leaks in this business is sort of the ugly thing about how we do business in Washington," he said.

I happen to agree with Sen. McCain. If it isn't bad enough that our President has weakened our country with his promise to close Gitmo, and his vow to never use nuclear weapons, and otherwise going on an "Apology Tour" and spouting his platitudes about how it is America's fault that all these other countries are having so many problems etc, now he wins an award that he does not deserve and the Nobel Committee with use this award to control him and hold him to his promises.
I have to say, even though I am a novice at all this political stuff, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that there is something very wrong with our country right now, and I fear that it is only going to get worse before it gets any better...
I think I will get started on building that bomb shelter next week that I have been procrastinating on for years.
